HackMIT 2026

HackMIT 2026 is a weekend-long, highly selective student hackathon held on the MIT campus that brings together over 1,000 undergraduate developers, engineers, designers, and builders. The event emphasizes rapid systems prototyping, algorithmic innovation, and technical execution across software and hardware projects. Accepted teams receive on-site hardware resources, campus accommodations, and access to a hardware lab for prototyping. The live event (The Grand Arena) is scheduled for September 19–20, 2026, with pre-hack activities during the week prior.

Partial-to-full travel reimbursements; access to on-site hardware lab and prototyping tools; paired on-campus housing or rest zones during the event.

Open to undergraduate students (student builders/developers/engineers/designers).

Apply via the event's application portal; submit GitHub repositories, portfolio links, and design statements; early submission recommended. Admissions include a competitive review and an optional admissions puzzle for auto-admission.
