ACS Project SEED

Project SEED is a paid chemistry research internship that places qualifying high school students in laboratory research settings for an 8–10 week summer period. Participants work in chemistry, biochemistry, or computational chemistry labs under the mentorship of research scientists. The local ACS Carolina–Piedmont section recruits a small cohort (four students this summer) to work at UNC Charlotte. Students may receive support to present research at ACS meetings.

Paid summer research position; 8–10 weeks of laboratory research experience; mentorship by research scientists; potential travel grant to attend/present at ACS national meetings.

Qualifying high school students; Project SEED historically serves economically disadvantaged high school students. The local program is recruiting high school students to work in UNC Charlotte labs.
