IEEE-OES Summer School 2026

The IEEE-OES Summer School 2026 is a two-day educational programme on 'OCEAN Observation and Interpretation' aimed at graduate students and early-career professionals in oceanic engineering and allied disciplines. The programme includes presentations by experts, demonstrations, hands-on exercises, group sessions, and social activities. It seeks to facilitate mentoring, research discussions and the development of professional relationships, and awards a certificate of attendance to participants. The event serves as a precursor to the Sanya OCEANS 2026 conference.

Paid twin-shared accommodation, meals and social activities (welcome reception, breakfasts, lunches, dinner), participation in expert presentations, demonstrations, hands-on exercises, group sessions, and a certificate of attendance.

Designed for graduate students and early-career professionals (within 4 years of receiving their terminal degree); undergraduate students may apply as space allows. Applicants must be an author or co-author of one or more papers selected for the Sanya OCEANS 2026 program and must be registered to attend the conference.
