Middle European Mathematical Olympiad (MEMO) 2026

The Middle European Mathematical Olympiad (MEMO) is a regional mathematics competition for national teams from participating Middle European countries. The 20th MEMO takes place in Celje, Slovenia, from 2026-08-23 to 2026-08-29 and includes individual and team contest rounds, workshops, excursions and social activities. Problems cover algebra, combinatorics, geometry and number theory. Medals (gold, silver, bronze) are awarded to top-scoring contestants.

Each participating country may send at most six students and two team leaders; students in their senior year are not eligible for MEMO teams. Ten countries currently participate: Austria, Croatia, Czechia, Germany, Hungary, Lithuania, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia and Switzerland.

Teams are selected and sent by the participating countries' official delegations or national organisers; each country registers its team for the competition.
