HPC Gateway

HPC Gateway is an initiative of the Helmholtz Association that opens high-performance computing (HPC) infrastructure, large datasets and AI expertise for cooperative projects with companies. In a one-year pilot phase nine Helmholtz centres at eight locations make their HPC resources available for bilateral projects with industry partners. Participating companies receive technical support from AI consultants, IT managers and scientific experts and a complementary training and further education programme is planned. Projects are based on bilateral agreements and involve partial co-financing by the participating companies.

Companies may engage in cooperative projects with Helmholtz centres under the initiative; projects are bilateral and involve cost-sharing by the companies.
