QuestBridge Emergency Fund (QBEF)

The QuestBridge Emergency Fund (QBEF) provides one-time emergency grants to QuestBridge Scholars and Alumni to cover unplanned, unavoidable expenses that threaten their health, security, or ability to continue working or attending school. Grants are awarded to cover eligible urgent costs such as certain medical expenses, insurance deductibles, emergency transportation, emergency childcare, and safety-related costs due to domestic violence or disasters. Applicants may receive up to $300 per 12-month period, with requests for higher amounts considered but reimbursed up to the program maximum. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis and applicants are notified within two weeks of submission.

Available to QuestBridge Scholars and Alumni. Requested funding should be primarily for the applicant and other financial resources must be exhausted; expenses must be unplanned, unavoidable, incurred within the past six months, and fall into eligible categories.

Submit the QBEF application via the QuestBridge application portal. The application is open year-round and reviewed on a rolling basis; applicants are notified within two weeks.
