AI + Learning Impact Grants

The AI + Learning Impact Grants provide project funding to advance AI-enabled innovations in learning that are ready to move from proof-of-concept toward implementation at scale. The program funds projects that generate rigorous evidence of learning impact across contexts such as early childhood, K–12, higher education, adult and informal learning. Awards include financial support and access to technical, research, learning science, and partnership consulting from the Stanford Accelerator Studio. Projects are expected to run 18–24 months.

Monetary award up to $500,000 per project, Accelerator Studio technical/research/learning science/partnership consulting, project support for 18–24 months; part of a $1.5M total award pool across three grants.

The competition is open to all Stanford PI-eligible faculty; projects must have demonstrated initial feasibility through prior research, pilot implementation, or proof-of-concept and be ready for scale-focused research and implementation.

Two-stage competition: Stage 1 Concept Note (online form) due Oct 5; approximately 8–10 teams invited to submit Full Proposal (invited teams due Nov 16). Applications submitted via the Stanford seed funding portal.
