The EMBO Gold Medal is an annual honorary award given to group leaders in the early stages of their careers for outstanding contributions to the life sciences in Europe. It recognises exemplary creativity, quality and impact of independent young scientists. Recipients receive the EMBO Gold Medal as a formal recognition of their achievements.
