UNSW Sports Scholarships

The UNSW Sports Scholarships are awards for current and commencing UNSW students who demonstrate outstanding sporting ability. Multiple named scholarships are available for 2026, each with specific eligibility criteria and value. Awards include monetary scholarships for one year to support elite athletes enrolled in undergraduate or postgraduate coursework programs at UNSW Sydney or UNSW Canberra City. Selection is based on proven sporting achievement and the ability to contribute to university life.

Monetary scholarships of specified amounts (examples: $10,000 for one year; $5,000 for one year) for eligible athletes.

Applicants must be commencing or currently enrolled in an undergraduate or postgraduate coursework program (single or double degree) at UNSW Sydney or UNSW Canberra City, demonstrate outstanding sporting performance and be deemed an elite athlete representing at a minimum state level. Additional criteria apply for specific named awards (for example Indigenous or disability criteria).

Apply online via UNSW's scholarship application portal and submit supporting documentation as specified; incomplete or late applications or claims without supporting documentation will not be assessed.
