The Chevening Southeast Europe British Library Fellowship is a 12-month, fully funded fellowship placement at the British Library for early- to mid-career researchers and professionals. It supports research on 18th–20th century printed materials and the history and culture of the Balkan region, with an emphasis on candidates who have advanced proficiency in Southeast European languages and experience with large datasets and computational methods in a library context. Fellows receive living expenses, return economy airfare, a fellowship activity allowance and project funding for approved expenses.

申请资格

Applicants must be citizens and residents of Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, or Türkiye; hold a postgraduate qualification or equivalent professional experience; have a minimum of five years' relevant professional or academic research experience; and be currently employed or enrolled as a PhD candidate at a university outside the UK, EU, or USA. Applicants should have advanced proficiency in at least two Southeast European languages and experience with large datasets and computational methods in a library context.

Complete the online application via the Chevening application portal (asams.chevening.org/apply); submit a project proposal/statement and supporting documents (CV, references, proof of language proficiency); shortlisted candidates will be interviewed by the British Library and Chevening.
