The Public Interest Law Scholarship (PILS) is a merit-based, renewable full-tuition scholarship offered by the School of Law at Northeastern University, Boston. It is awarded each year to several applicants with strong academic records and experience in social justice. The scholarship includes full tuition coverage, stipends for unpaid public interest co-ops, personalized advising and mentoring, and participation in public interest law programming on campus. Applicants are automatically considered when they apply for admission to the law school by the stated deadline.

Full tuition coverage; three $5,000 stipends for unpaid public interest co-ops; one-on-one advising and tailored mentoring on public interest careers; personalized support for fellowships and government honors programs; engagement with the Center for Public Interest Advocacy and Collaboration; monthly Public Interest Law Society meetings.

Open to all nationals; applicants must gain admission to Northeastern University School of Law and submit their application by the March 1 deadline. Applicants may submit an optional social justice essay labeled as a PILS essay via LSAC to bolster their candidacy.
