Sahara CodeSwitch Africa Challenge 2026

The Sahara CodeSwitch Africa Challenge 2026 is a competition inviting developers, startups, researchers, product teams, and builders across Africa to build or improve voice AI applications using Sahara’s code-switching APIs. Submissions must demonstrate a real-world downstream task involving code-switched speech and benchmark performance across multiple models. A total cash prize of $10,000 will be awarded to top-performing solutions across defined categories.

Cash prizes totaling $10,000; additional Sahara API credits; visibility through sponsors, judges and ecosystem partners; potential pilot opportunities.

Open to builders across Africa and the diaspora, can participate solo or in teams.

Submit an entry that uses voice to perform a downstream task, benchmark across at least three speech models including a Sahara API, and target a specific use case.
