Asia-Pacific Academic Mentoring Program – Round 2

The Asia-Pacific Academic Mentoring Program is a year-long mentorship initiative connecting early-career researchers in Asia and the Pacific with senior scientists and leaders based in Australia. The second round expands eligibility to researchers from Vietnam, Thailand and the Philippines, in addition to Pacific Island nations, and includes monthly one-on-one mentoring and participation in Science at the Shine Dome. Successful mentees receive travel support to attend the program launch in Canberra, while mentors receive support to attend Science at the Shine Dome; mentoring roles are voluntary.

One-on-one mentoring with senior scientists, travel support for the program launch or related events, and participation in a regional science-networking program.

Open to PhD students and researchers up to five years post-PhD (excluding career interruptions) from across Asia and the Pacific; separate streams for Pacific Island nations and for Vietnam, Thailand and the Philippines.
