A seven-day writing boot camp hosted by Medill for mid-career journalists who want to develop a fiction project. The workshop provides writing time, discussions, and workshopping of works in progress, guided by award-winning authors and instructors, with mentorship and a focus on producing novel-length material begun during the program.

Transportation to Chicago, lodging, meals during the program, mentorship and writing time, workshop participation, and potential development of a novel manuscript.

Mid-career journalists with at least five years of experience, who have not published a novel or a book-length fiction work.

Submit an application including resume, a cover letter, achievements list, project description, 20-30 page sample of planned fiction, and references.
