Queering Big Data

Queering Big Data is a public academic event featuring two invited talks and a subsequent discussion on queer perspectives in corpus linguistics and natural language processing. The event presents research on queer public discourse and on what NLP can learn from linguistics to address conceptual and ethical issues. It is organised by the Europäisches Zentrum für Sprachwissenschaften in cooperation with the Anglistisches Seminar and the Leibniz-Institut für Deutsche Sprache.

Free attendance; talks and a public discussion with opportunity for audience questions.

Participation is open to the public; attendance is free and no registration is required. Event languages are German and English.
