The Foundations for Equipment Technician Program is a short-term workforce training programme developed and delivered by Arizona State University in collaboration with TSMC Arizona. It provides technical instruction and hands-on laboratory experience aligned with skills used in advanced semiconductor manufacturing environments. The curriculum covers electronics, sensors, pneumatics, vacuum and gas delivery, control systems, mechatronics and clean-room safety practices. The programme connects participants to employment pathways with semiconductor employers; many participants received full-time job offers after completing early cohorts.
