Sir Ratan Tata Postdoctoral Fellowship 2026/2027

The Sir Ratan Tata Postdoctoral Fellowship is a funded postdoctoral fellowship based at the LSE India Observatory. It supports social science research broadly on Economic and Social Development in India and South Asia. The Fellow is expected to finish a research paper of publishable quality during the stay and make a seminar presentation; the six-month fellowship runs during each academic year.

Monthly subsistence allowance, workspace and facilities access, travel assistance.

Early career post-doctoral researchers working on social science with a focus on South Asia, who have PhD and are in permanent employment with an institution in the SAARC region.
