IJP British-German Programme 2026

Open to British journalists to spend time working in the partner country and report for their home media. Fellows receive a stipend to cover travel, food and accommodation as they gain insight into media practices in Germany or the United Kingdom. The programme enables journalistic exchange between Great Britain and Germany and is supported under the British-German Programme.

Financial support toward travel, food and accommodation (3,800 Euros); opportunity to work in editorial offices in the host country and gain firsthand experience of media practices and societies.

Open to UK journalists aged between 18 and 40 who work for any type of print, radio or TV media.

Submit a CV, a letter of recommendation, four samples of publications, and a short motivation letter; digital application should be sent in one PDF document to theo@ijp.org.
