Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship Programme 2026

The Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship Programme provides international students with opportunities to pursue higher education in Hungary, including bachelor’s, master’s, one-tier master’s, doctoral, non-degree, and postgraduate specialist training programs. The program is funded by the Hungarian government and coordinated by Tempus Public Foundation, offering full tuition coverage and various living cost supports for selected study programs. Scholarships commonly cover tuition, accommodation or a housing allowance, and medical insurance for the duration of studies.

Applicants must be nominated by the responsible authority of their country’s Sending Partner and must meet non-Hungarian citizenship and language requirements; programs cover bachelor’s, master’s, doctoral and other study options.

Applications submitted online via the Tempus Public Foundation system; also submitted to the Sending Partner for each country.
