Bando Biblioteche e Comunità

Bando Biblioteche e Comunità is a grant programme to strengthen municipal libraries in Southern Italy as spaces for social cohesion, inclusion and urban regeneration. It supports socio-cultural projects of 24 months that enhance access to library spaces, collections and services and promote participation of disadvantaged groups. The call funds projects in specified southern regions and requires partnership between at least three organisations including a Third Sector applicant and a municipal library.

Grant contribution up to €100,000 per project; support for project activities over 24 months.

The call is open to Third Sector organisations proposing projects that involve municipal libraries in the regions Basilicata, Calabria, Campania, Puglia, Sardegna and Sicilia that obtained the “Città che legge” qualification for 2018-2019. Applications must form a partnership of at least three organisations: a Third Sector applicant, one or more municipal libraries, and an additional partner from volunteer/nonprofit, institutions, businesses, schools, universities or research.

Proposals must be submitted online via the Chàiros portal.
