RIKEN IMS Internship Program 2025

The RIKEN IMS Internship Program 2025 invites talented students and early-career researchers to experience RIKEN IMS research activities. The program lasts 1 to 3 months and offers two categories of support for lodging and travel, with Category 1 also providing an internship allowance. Applicants must be enrolled in an academic institution during the internship period, and the program includes guidance from host laboratories across RIKEN IMS.

Category 1 applicants must be master’s or PhD students (or medical students at a level equivalent to a master’s in Japan); Category 2 applicants must be young postdocs within three years of obtaining a PhD and must be enrolled in an academic institution during the internship.

Applicants select a RIKEN IMS laboratory, contact the host lab to confirm availability, and send an English CV, purpose, research background, and desired dates to the host laboratory’s team leader; include GDPR consent for EU/UK residents where applicable.
