South African Department of Youth Tourism Skills Development Programmes 2025/2026

Applications are open for the South African Department of Youth Tourism Skills Development Programmes for 2025/2026. The programmes aim to upskill unemployed youth and graduates to contribute to the tourism sector, with several training tracks including sommelier, professional cookery, food safety quality assurance, hospitality youth training, and tourism monitors. The programmes last 12 months and include stipends for beneficiaries.

Daily stipend of R150 for beneficiaries

Applicants should be between the ages of 18-35, matric with English fluency or relevant hospitality qualification, South African citizen, unemployed youth including people with disabilities, and able to provide required documentation.
