Yau International Mathematical Summer Camp

A four-week residential mathematical summer camp for mathematically talented and motivated high school students, introducing modern mathematics through intensive coursework, guided discussions, problem sessions and project-style activities. The 2026 Camp runs from July 1 to August 1, 2026 and is organized by the Shanghai Institute for Mathematics and Interdisciplinary Sciences (SIMIS). The programme includes a written exam used for scholarship tier allocation and offers optional preparatory courses and TA-led discussions.

Tuition waivers for some scholarship tiers, accommodation and meals included for all tiers, travel reimbursement for First-Tier under specified limits; awards for projects (Best Project Award) with cash prizes of RMB 10,000 (Gold), RMB 8,000 (Silver), RMB 5,000 (Bronze) and certificates.

Mathematically talented and motivated high school students with strong high-school mathematics background (familiarity with basic calculus preferred), excellent academic performance, genuine interest in mathematics and sufficient English proficiency to follow English-taught courses.

Admission followed by possible online interview for overseas students; written exam on July 4 for scholarship allocation.
