Simons Foundation / Flatiron Institute Summer Internship Program

A suite of summer internship positions across the Simons Foundation and the Flatiron Institute where interns work on mentored research or computational projects aligned with their field of study. Positions include research assistant and research associate roles across multiple Flatiron centers, software and scientific computing internships, and pre-doctoral scholar placements. Interns participate in seminars, workshops and social events and will work in person at the institute's Manhattan offices. Some internships are offered through partner programs such as AstroCom NYC.

Mentored research or project experience, mentorship from experienced scientists, participation in lectures/seminars/workshops, social/networking events, possible housing support.

Interns must be enrolled in a degree-seeking program (undergraduate or higher); specific positions (e.g., research associate, pre-doctoral scholar) have graduate or pre-doctoral eligibility as noted per posting.
