WBG Young Professionals Program

The World Bank Group Young Professionals Program (YPP) is a competitive leadership development program for highly talented professionals passionate about global development. It is a structured two-year program with three eight-month rotations across the World Bank, IFC and MIGA, followed by a potential five-year appointment based on performance. Participants receive tailored technical and leadership training, dedicated mentorship, and international field experience. The program aims to build technical expertise and expose participants to a range of development operations.

Two-year YPP appointment with three rotations (including at least one country office), tailored leadership and technical training, dedicated mentorship, international experience across World Bank, IFC and MIGA, and a possible five-year contract upon successful completion.

Applicants must hold nationality of a World Bank Group member country, have at least two years of full-time work experience following completion of undergraduate studies, and must complete a masters-level degree or higher in a relevant field before September 1 of the year they start in the YPP. Applicants must have excellent command of English and must not be current World Bank Group staff; WBG interns must have appointments that end before September 30, 2025.
