GIST Global Internship

An 8-week fully funded summer research internship at the Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology (GIST) in South Korea for international students. Participants join GIST laboratories to work on research projects across areas such as electrical engineering, computer science, materials, mechanical, robotics, environment, energy, life sciences, physics and chemistry. The programme includes Korean language classes, cultural trips and special lectures. It is intended to provide hands-on research experience and exposure to Korean culture for senior undergraduates and master’s students.

International students from any country in their final year of a bachelor’s degree or enrolled in a master’s programme with a GPA of 3.0/4.5 or higher; English accepted if degree programme is in English or applicant is from an English-speaking country.
