International Summer Student Program at GSI-FAIR

An eight-week summer research programme at the GSI-FAIR accelerator laboratory offering hands-on research projects for advanced undergraduates and Master's students. The programme includes research placements, lectures and tutorials. It is organised by GSI in cooperation with the Helmholtz Graduate School for Hadron and Ion Research (HGS-HIRe). The 2026 edition runs from 2026-07-27 to 2026-09-17.

Offered to students on the advanced undergraduate and Master level with at least three years of study completed; students during their last-year Bachelor or Master studies in physics or related natural science and engineering disciplines from Europe or GSI/FAIR partner countries.
