African Union Internship Program 2026

The African Union Internship Program 2026 offers full-time internships to interns to complement their educational experience and develop professional skills within the African Union. It provides hands-on exposure to various departments and aims to enhance personal and professional development in an intercultural environment. Interns gain practical experience supporting AU programmes, projects and activities.

Full-time professional exposure within the African Union Commission; hands-on experience in continental governance and policy implementation; opportunity to work across diverse AU departments; development of administrative, analytical, and intercultural skills; networking with policymakers and professionals.

Be actively enrolled in the final year of a Bachelor’s degree or have obtained a Bachelor’s degree or a related advanced/postgraduate qualification; be a national of a Member State of the African Union; be fluent in at least one AU working language; be no more than 32 years old at selection.
