Franco-Thai Young Talent Research Fellowship Program 2026

A bilateral fellowship to support early-career researchers from Thailand and France to conduct short-term collaborative research (2 to 6 months) hosted at a laboratory or research centre in the partner country. It supports Thai researchers to travel to France and French researchers to travel to Thailand and covers living allowances and certain travel and insurance costs. The programme accepts proposals across all research fields with priority areas including digital & AI, biotechnology, clean energy, sensors & robotics, earth & space technology and social sciences. Projects must be completed by 2026-12-31.

Monthly living allowance (€1,800), round-trip international airfare, health insurance for the duration of the stay, visa/OFII fees (for Thai to France) and a one-time lump-sum payment for French researchers to Thailand.

Supports Thai and French postdoctoral researchers who are lecturers or researchers in public or private institutions; Thai candidates must have graduated PhD in 2021 or later and be affiliated with an institution in Thailand; French candidates must have graduated PhD in 2016 or later and must collaborate with institutions in Thailand. Current PhD students must complete their PhD by February 2026 prior to departure.

Submit a completed application form with passport copy, CV, cover letter, PhD diploma, detailed research proposal, official letter of invitation from host laboratory, Letter of Support from relevant institution, and proof of scheduled thesis defence if applicable.
