APS-EPS-ICTP Travel Award Fellowship Programme 2026

The APS-EPS-ICTP Travel Award Fellowship Programme provides a grant to support a two-month research visit to a participating laboratory in Europe (excluding Italy), North America, or an advanced developing country. It is aimed at outstanding doctoral students and early-career physicists, preferably under the age of 45, from developing countries who will return to their home or another developing country after the visit.

A 5,000 EUR grant to cover major costs of a two-month research visit; outcomes include strengthened collaborations and advance in research activity; host laboratory support with visa assistance and accommodation as described in requirements.

Doctoral students or early-career physicists within 10 years of PhD completion; nationals of developing countries; currently studying or working in their home country or another developing country; must have a clear plan to return to their alma mater or another collaborating institution.

Submit a complete CV, letters of reference, host laboratory agreement, a one-page motivation letter, a one-page budget plan, and proof of PhD enrolment (for doctoral students). applications should be sent by 31 March to itlabs@ictp.it.
