Ir. Ntibeshya Emmanuel declared admissible for 2iE WASH master’s intake
Ir. Ntibeshya Emmanuel, a Water Resources and Environmental Management professional from Rwanda, has been declared admissible for the 2026 to 2027 intake of the Master’s programme in Water Sanitation and Hygiene at the International Institute for Water and Environmental Engineering in Burkina Faso. The result came after a rigorous review of his academic and professional credentials.
For him, the admission is not only a formal academic step. It builds on years of work in environmental and social safeguards, GIS, climate-smart agriculture and community development projects, all of which have shaped his interest in practical solutions for water, sanitation and the wider environment.
“This admission represents more than a personal achievement.”
Ir. Ntibeshya EmmanuelA step shaped by experience
His route to the programme reflects a clear professional direction. While searching for opportunities to advance his education and strengthen his impact, he chose to apply to the WASH master’s programme at 2iE, where he now has a place in the next intake.
He describes the admission as an opportunity to gain specialised knowledge and practical skills that can be used to address water and sanitation challenges in Rwanda and across Africa. That focus connects closely with his background and the work he hopes to continue after his studies.
The experience has also reinforced the value he places on persistence and preparation. In his own account, he says the journey strengthened his belief that steady effort can open doors to life-changing opportunities.
He also points to the importance of confidence in personal ability. For someone working in a field where solutions often depend on both technical understanding and community engagement, that mindset appears to have been central to his progress.
