The Royal Society Rising Star Africa Prize 2025 for early-career research scientists

The Royal Society Rising Star Africa Prize is an award recognizing Africa-based early-career research scientists who are making innovative contributions to the physical, mathematical and engineering sciences. Winners receive a grant to support their research and a personal gift. The prize aims to support outstanding young researchers in Africa.

Financial grant (£14,000) plus a personal gift (£1,000).

Open to African citizens who are early-career scientists, with no more than 15 years since achieving their PhD (career breaks excluded).
