ICDE Fellowship Program 2026-2027

The Institute for the Cooperative Digital Economy (ICDE) Fellowship Program is a global research initiative hosted by the ICDE at The New School. It invites scholars to conduct empirically grounded, interdisciplinary research on how cooperatives, unions, and solidarity-economy organizations engage with digital systems, including AI and data infrastructures. Fellows participate in a collaborative cohort with mentorship, networking opportunities, and potential travel and accommodation support to attend related events and publications.

Mentorship and feedback from ICDE faculty and fellows; access to ICDE’s global network; opportunities to collaborate on research sprints, events, and publications; travel and accommodation support for conference attendance.

Ph.D. candidates, post-doctoral researchers, and junior/early-career faculty (including those with equivalent research experience); collaborative or paired applications are welcome.

Submit a CV (max 4 pages), a 1–2 page research proposal, one writing sample, and contact information for two references.
