GIFTS Fellowship 2026–2027: Global Institute Fellowship for Transforming Education Systems

GIFTS stands for the Global Institute Fellowship for Transforming Systems. It is a global programme for education leaders seeking to transform education systems through collective leadership, innovation and practical system-level action. The fellowship combines leadership development with practical inquiry and involves virtual and in-person components over about one year.

Participation includes virtual system-change laboratories, masterclasses, leadership-development sessions, peer-learning activities, coaching, mentoring, roundtable discussions and a four-day in-person system immersion in January 2027; participation in a three-day forum in May 2027 is optional.

The programme targets influential education-system leaders working at the system level, including senior or rising officials in ministries of education, policymakers, regional or provincial leaders, leaders of government education programmes, and other education-system insiders with credible influence over policy or large-scale implementation.
