Norah Fry International Visiting Scholar Scheme

The Norah Fry International Visiting Scholar Scheme at the University of Bristol invites researchers from outside the United Kingdom to spend up to six weeks collaborating with Norah Fry Centre for Disability Studies on disability-related research. Successful applicants receive financial support to cover travel and accommodation costs and gain access to university facilities and an interdisciplinary academic environment. Official Norah Fry Centre International Visiting Scholar status, up to six weeks of collaborative research at the University of Bristol, financial contribution up to £5,000, access to university library resources and facilities, opportunities to engage in seminars and build international research partnerships.

Applicants must hold a PhD or have completed their PhD viva before application, be based at a university or research institution outside the United Kingdom, and submit a well-defined research proposal that can be advanced during a six-week visit.

Submit a CV (max two pages) and a project outline describing proposed research activity, objectives, and justification for conducting the work at the Norah Fry Centre.
