New Futures Mobility Fund 2026

The New Futures Mobility Fund provides competitive mobility grants to eligible applicants in Australia to attend recognised scientific conferences, symposia, workshops and other STEM-focused professional events. It aims to strengthen research capability, expand professional networks, and support career development by removing financial barriers to participation. The program is delivered by the Australian Academy of Science and supported by generous gifts, with funding to attend events across Australia.

Funding to attend conferences, networking opportunities, increased visibility within Australia’s STEM community, and professional development support.

Be living in Australia; hold an eligible humanitarian visa subclass; be engaged in research training or research activity in Australia; be seeking funding to attend a recognised STEM scientific conference, symposium, workshop, or similar event within Australia.

Submit through the Academy’s online portal with required documentation.
