IGAD Media Awards 2026

The IGAD Media Awards 2026 is a regional competition recognizing journalism and digital storytelling focused on migration, labour mobility, and regional integration within the IGAD region. It aims to honor journalists, media practitioners, digital creators, photojournalists, and storytellers for work published or publicly shared, with multiple categories celebrating various aspects of migration and mobility. The awards will be presented in Kampala, Uganda, in November 2026.

Open to a wide range of media professionals and storytellers whose work focuses on migration and regional integration within the IGAD region; applicants must have work that has already been published, broadcast, or publicly shared on recognized media platforms or digital channels.
