Democracy Hackathon 2026

The Democracy Hackathon 2026 is a fully funded event organized by the Council of Europe, bringing together innovators, developers, designers, democracy experts, and human rights advocates to develop technology solutions addressing online hate speech and democratic resilience. The event takes place in Strasbourg, France, from 17–19 June 2026, with mentoring and opportunities to win a Microsoft grant.

Fully funded travel to Strasbourg, accommodation, mentoring from experts, access to the event, and potential eligibility for a €50,000 Microsoft grant.

Multidisciplinary teams of innovators, developers, designers, democracy experts, and human rights advocates are invited to apply.
