Herb Alpert Young Jazz Composer Awards 2025

The Herb Alpert Young Jazz Composer Awards are awarded annually by the ASCAP Foundation to encourage talented young jazz composers in the early stages of their careers. Eligible entrants must submit an online application, a score/chart of one original jazz work, and an mp3 recording of the work. The prize involves monetary awards shared among recipients as determined by the Foundation.

Entrants must be at least 13 years old, under 30 as of December 1, 2025, and must be a working ASCAP writer member in good standing or affiliated with a PRO (including international PROs).
