Fully Funded European Union Delegation to Canada Traineeship 2026 for Young Graduates in International Relations and Diplomacy

The European Union Delegation to Canada offers a funded traineeship for young graduates to work within the Political and Administrative Sections in Ottawa. The program provides hands-on diplomatic experience, exposure to EU-Canada relations, and development of research, writing, and analytical skills. Trainees will undertake placements for up to six months in 2026 and receive a monthly living grant, while covering some personal costs such as travel and visa.

Hands-on experience in international diplomacy; exposure to EU foreign policy operations; professional networking; development of research, writing, and analytical skills; practical communication and public diplomacy experience.

Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Political Science, International Relations, Public Administration, Law, Communications, or related fields and demonstrate an interest in diplomacy, governance, and international affairs.
