EU-LAC Birregional School of Local Political Leadership for Women 2026

Applications are open for the EU-LAC Birregional School of Local Political Leadership for Women 2026. The programme combines preparatory virtual sessions with an intensive in-person meeting in Panama, aiming to strengthen women's leadership and advocacy capacities at the local level across Latin America, the Caribbean and the European Union. Scholarships are available to cover travel, accommodation, subsistence and local transport for those who cannot obtain funding from other sources.

Travel tickets, accommodation, meals, local transport, and participation in preparatory modules, in-person meeting in Panama and follow-up activities.

Two tracks are described: (1) young women with a demonstrated interest in territorial political leadership and membership in a supporting network, with a letter of support; (2) senior women leaders with a consolidated track record in political or community processes, with a letter of support and active engagement in preparatory and follow-up activities.
