IFRA-Nigeria Research Grant 2026

IFRA-Nigeria Research Grant 2026 provides funding for humanities and social sciences research projects focused on West Africa. Grants support individual or collaborative projects involving fieldwork and/or archival work, conducted within the IFRA-Nigeria geographic mandate. The grant supports projects for the period January 2026 to October 2026 and offers a maximum award of up to €1,000 depending on budget and project needs.

Funding up to €1,000 to support research activities, including fieldwork and/or archival visits.

Open to master’s students, doctoral students, postdoctoral researchers and researchers working in humanities and social sciences on a country within IFRA-Nigeria’s geographical mandate.
