Master of Advanced Studies in Medical Physics and Radiation Metrology

The Master of Advanced Studies in Medical Physics and Radiation Metrology is a two-year master’s programme coordinated by ICTP and the University of Trieste, co-sponsored by the IAEA. It offers one year of coursework in English at ICTP followed by hands-on clinical training in Italian hospitals (or in a Secondary Standards Dosimetry Laboratory for the Radiation Metrology track). A limited number of full scholarships cover international travel, university fees, and a monthly living stipend, with partial scholarships also available; self-funded participation is permitted.

Full or partial financial support; international travel, university fees, monthly living stipend; clinical training in a hospital setting; degree awarded by the University of Trieste upon completion.

Applicants must hold a degree equivalent to an MSc in physics or a closely related discipline, be generally younger than 30, and come from UN/UNESCO/IAEA member countries; selection is competitive and considers academic performance, research activity, and recommendations.
