DAAD/AGI Research Fellowship Program 2026

The DAAD/AGI Research Fellowship Program 2026 funds research stays for scholars and specialists to work on issues related to German-American relations. Fellows conduct research at AGI in Washington, DC, present results at a workshop, and produce an analytical essay for publication. The program covers a monthly stipend, travel to Washington, DC, and research-related travel within the DAAD center network, plus workspace at AGI.

Applicants must be German, or non-German individuals permanently working in Germany or at DAAD Centers for German and European Studies; candidates must have completed or be working on a PhD; materials must be in English; prior grant support within three years is disqualifying except for those affiliated with DAAD Centers.
