The Africa Earth Observation (AEO) Challenge 2025 is an annual open innovation competition aimed at sourcing novel space technologies and promoting the use of earth observation data across Africa. It targets early-stage, African businesses and offers a mix of cash prizes, online incubation, and technical support to finalists.

Cash prizes up to $10,000, online incubation and virtual mentorship, AWS Activate credits, access to data and imagery platforms, IP support services, and media exposure.
