UNESCO Prize for Global Citizenship Education 2025

The UNESCO Prize for Global Citizenship Education provides a global platform to recognise projects and initiatives in GCED. It will be awarded biennially and recognises two best projects across categories, with each winner receiving a monetary prize. The prize is open to youth-led organisations and to individuals, institutions, NGOs, and other entities working on GCED.

Prize money of USD 50,000 per category and international recognition; participation through an online application process.

For the Youth-led organization category: the applicant must be an organization led by individuals aged between 18-30. For the Other category: applicants can be an individual, institution, NGO, or other entity.

Nominate via a UNESCO National Commission or an NGO in official partnership with UNESCO, create an account on the online application platform, and complete the form in English or French with supporting materials transmitted electronically.
