United Nations Food Systems Youth Leadership Programme (YLP) 2026

The United Nations Food Systems Youth Leadership Programme (YLP) 2026 is a leadership development programme for emerging leaders working across policy, science, entrepreneurship, advocacy, and community action to advance food systems transformation. It offers peer learning, mentorship, collaboration with experts and UN partners, and practical leadership development to drive change in communities, institutions, and countries. Participants gain a global network, practical tools to strengthen impact, and exposure to global food systems processes and partnerships.

Applicants should be between 18 and 35 years old, proficient in English, and nationals of a low- or middle-income country, with emphasis on Africa, Asia and the Pacific, or Latin America and the Caribbean; they should have experience in food systems, sustainable development, climate action, or related fields, and be committed to participating fully through 2028.
