Global Korea Scholarship (GKS) for Exchange Students 2027

The Global Korea Scholarship for Exchange Students is a fully funded program allowing undergraduate and master's students to study at South Korean universities through an exchange arrangement. It covers living expenses, settlement allowance, airfare, and medical insurance for the duration of the exchange, which can be 4 or 10 months depending on the student’s period of study. The program aims to broaden international student exchange and provide exposure to Korean education and culture.

Eligible candidates are undergraduate and master's students of foreign nationality enrolled in an overseas university with an agreement to participate in a degree exchange program; applicants must have at least 80% overall academic performance and must not have previously received a Korean government scholarship.

Universities selected by NIIED operate the program; follow the official application instructions provided by NIIED and the partner universities.
