Georg Forster Research Fellowship for Postdocs

The Georg Forster Research Fellowship for Postdocs enables highly qualified scientists and scholars from eligible developing or transition countries to conduct a long-term research project in Germany. Fellows carry out a project of their own design in cooperation with an academic host chosen at a German research institution. The research must address issues of major relevance to the future development of the applicant's home country or region. Fellowship durations range from 6 to 24 months.

Highly qualified scientists and scholars from eligible developing or transition countries (excluding the People's Republic of China and India) may apply. Applicants must propose a research project of relevance to the development of their home country or region and cooperate with an academic host at a German research institution.
