TRANSCAN-4 – Joint Call JTC 2026: Translational Research on Cancer Metabolism: Multidisciplinary Approaches for Diagnosis and Treatment

TRANSCAN-4 Joint Call JTC 2026 is a multinational funding call (Coordination and Support Action) to support translational cancer research linking discoveries in cancer metabolism to diagnostic, prognostic and therapeutic applications. It funds collaborative projects with multidisciplinary teams and aims to create sustainable financing models for translational cancer research across participating countries. Projects are collaborative, require multiple partners from different participating countries and are financed by the respective national/regional funding organisations.

Project funding by national/regional funders; maximum eligible amount for FWF project leaders €450,000; funding for project duration up to 36 months.

Scientists from universities, non-university research institutions and relevant industrial research departments active in translational cancer research; each proposal must include 3–6 partners from at least three participating partner countries.

Two-stage application: submit a concept proposal to the Joint Call Secretariat (electronic submission) and also submit administrative/financial data and scientific abstracts to FWF's elane system under the specified program categories; full proposals submitted in second stage.
